The MIDA Mini-Tool was developed by a "primitive AI", by Destiny standards, and the revolutionary government MIDA for use in the Martian Coup and further guerilla combats. This weapon made its way to Destiny's timeline along the MIDA Multi-Tool through advanced experiments. [1]

Design details[edit]

Capabilities of this weapon are not fully disclosed, though some of the functions listed are flare gun, water purifier, Interplanetary Positioning System, Encyclopædia Arcana and personal flotation device. It's also implied from the lore entry, that this gun can record audio journals. [2]

Gameplay[edit]

Note, this gun has not appeared in a Marathon game.

This weapon fires energy bullets in full auto, most likely due to the "flare gun" capabilities of it. Useful mostly for close quarters encounters. This weapon boosts player movement speed while equipped along the MIDA Multi-Tool.

Trivia[edit]

  • The journal contents imply Bernhard Strauss' affiliation to MIDA and mentions his obsession with Metastability.
  • The date matches the day after the UESC Marathon left the Martian orbit.
  • The journal also mentions that the UESC might be sending Battleroids to hunt down remaining MIDA members.
